Malulani Drive Barricades Removed

with one comment

Good news!  After watching the traffic light being tested over the weekend and wondering when the barricades would be removed, this morning I found they were gone.

During my travels, I entered Hale Kapili Street at Henry Street and followed it to the formerly barricaded entry point.  The barricades are gone and there are lanes designated for either a right or left turn.

I was pleased to cut the Henry Street intersection off of my travel plan since there was some construction on Henry Street delaying traffic between Queen Ka’ahumanu Highway and Wal-Mart.

Cellphone Ban Laws – Recent Studies

with one comment

The KTSC email discussion recently included quite a few comments (21 in all) regarding laws banning cell phone use while driving.  Since there is so much interest, links are provided in the reference, enforcement and news categories for updates on studies and other related matters.

The information that generated the discussion came from an article printed in the Wall Street Journal on January 30, 2010 by Joseph B. White.  He has followed that article with follow up regarding the study.
